Acrylic nails are made from a combination of liquid monomer and powder polymer, which is applied with a brush. It creates a transparent, hard protective layer, over your natural nails (and a tip if you prefer to lengthen your nails). The product hardens as it is exposed to air. Then we sculpt and file the product to contour to your nails, and apply nail polish afterward.

Gels are brushed onto your nails in three steps: a base coat, polish color and top coat. Each coat has to be cured (hardened) in a UV light for two to three minutes. Similar to acrylic, gels can increase the length and thickness of your nails.

Shellac is the brand name for a new, patent-pending nail product created by Creative Nail Design (CND). It is a hybrid, meaning half nail polish, half gel.

The product can be applied similarly to nail polish on your natural nails (no sculpting or filing). It is cured through UV lighting, and makes your manicure last much longer—but it cannot lengthen your nails.
